L'Institut Cochin participe activement à la recherche sur le cancer, un de ses axes forts. Les projets dans le domaine du cancer vont de la recherche fondamentale qui vise à mieux comprendre les mécanismes moléculaires et cellulaires qui aboutissent au développement de tumeurs, à la recherche translationnelle en partenariat avec plusieurs services hospitaliers des hôpitaux Universitaires Paris Centre-APHP.
Institut Cochin, located within the Cochin-Port Royal hospital, allows the doctoral training of young scientists, as well as physicians and pharmacists, in various fields of biomedical research with many interactions between our main axes of research: Microbiology, Immunology, Cancer, Metabolism and Endocrinology, Genetic and Cellular Plasticity.

Understanding and promoting the benefits of physical activity is one of the major public health challenges of our time.On November 14 and 15, 2024, a symposium on "Muscle, Exercise and Health" will be held at Institut Cochin. This event will bring together physicians and researchers specializing in the study of muscle and physical activity and the consequences of this activity on aging, neuromuscular diseases, cardiovascular pathologies, cancer and diabetes.
