The Biological Resource Centers “CRB Cochin” and “CRB Cancer” are the two BRCs of the Cochin hospital. They belongs to the functional units of the University Medical Department “Biology-Physiology-Genetics” (BioPhyGen) and are part of the Federation of BRCs of the Hospital Group AP-HP-Centre Université Paris Cité including BRCs of Necker-Enfant-Malades Hospital and Georges Pompidou European Hospital. The “CRB Cochin” and “CRB Cancer” participate in the organization of the Clinical Research of the Hospital Group by providing their expertise to researchers and clinicians wishing to constitute collections of human biological samples within the framework of national and international institutional (institution, University, INSERM/CNRS…) or industrial research projects. They help investigators in structuring projects, organize the collection, reception, transformation, conservation and traceability of biological samples intended for research. They guarantee compliance with good laboratory practices, regulations and legislation and ensure a quality approach according to the requirements of the international standard ISO 20387. Finally, they make biological resources accessible to research teams, particularly local ones, and thus promote collaborations between clinicians and researchers, which helps to enhance the value of biological collections.

Audrey Lupo and Béatrice Parfait are invited by Sophie Vaulont.
