The Institut Cochin Foundation, under the auspices of the CNRS Foundation, was established on 4 May 2026, driven by Florence Niedergang, CNRS Research Director, Director of the Institut Cochin, Catherine Postic, CNRS Research Director, Raphaël Scharfmann, Inserm Research Director and Olivier Tenaillon, Inserm research director.

Dedicated to advancing biomedical research and accelerating scientific innovation

The mission of the Institut Cochin Foundation is to support the scientific activities of the Institut Cochin’s research teams and platforms, and it aims to strengthen academic excellence, medical innovation and the societal impact of research:
