This project focuses on the study of hematopoiesis within the context of cancer and pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis. We investigate how systemic disease signals impact the production and differentiation of immune cells.

Our Research Focus:

• Myelopoiesis Regulation: Analyzing how pathological states trigger the overproduction or functional alteration of myeloid lineages
• Hematopoietic Stem Cells (HSCs): Examining the plasticity and response of stem cells to the inflammatory or oncogenic microenvironment
• Monocyte Dynamics: Studying the role of monocytes as precursors of tissue-phagocytes and their contribution to disease progression and tissue destruction.
