Under the banner of Université Paris Cité, twelve volunteers (researchers, engineers, and students) led two workshops on the themes of "Scales of Life: How to See the Infinitely Small" and "Reading DNA" to introduce the wonderful world of microbes, genes, and cells.
In the Art and Science workshop "The Little Factory of the Imagination," organized by the CNRS, visitors created their own photographic prints of a scientific image using cyanotype. An image illustrating the interaction zones within chromosomes served as a support for Djihad Hadjadj, the researcher and teacher, to explain genetic regulation and the modifications associated with certain diseases such as cancer.

Double.Science is an interdisciplinary, participatory science outreach festival accessible to all audiences. It took place on Saturday, June 14th at Ground•Control (a friendly third space) in Paris's 12th arrondissement.
Various fun workshops highlighted the diversity of science outreach disciplines, ranging from biology to chemistry, including the humanities and social sciences. This event offered an overview of research in France conducted by higher education institutions and numerous national research organizations.

We had the opportunity to interact with volunteers and outreach managers from our supervisory bodies (Inserm, CNRS, and Université Paris Cité), as well as other research organizations.

It was a wonderful collaborative work, aimed at better promoting knowledge and the scientific approach, and a wonderful opportunity to engage with society.
