In October 2024, the Phagocyte Biology, Infection, and Immunity team, led by Florence Niedergang, engaged in several initiatives to raise public awareness of scientific research.

As part of the Science Festival, the team welcomed middle school students to introduce them to the team’s research projects, as well as the techniques of qPCR and immunofluorescence. The next day, during the Cochin Institute’s open house, this workshop was offered to the general public. Over five hours, team members engaged with visitors and answered numerous questions.

Finally, in preparation for the From Cell to Organism conference, the team took part in a special day dedicated to primary school students from Ivry, introducing them to the concepts of cells and organelles.

An activity-packed month, but always a rewarding and inspiring experience!
