The Institut Cochin – Business Meetings 2026 marked another edition of the Donny Strosberg Days, organized by the Institut Cochin and dedicated this year to women's health and sexually dimorphic diseases. Led by the Technology Transfer and Valorization Department, under the direction of Pascale Leroy, the event brought together researchers, clinicians, entrepreneurs, investors, and technology transfer professionals at the Biermans-Lapôtre Foundation, in the heart of the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris. This morning of discussions highlighted the numerous opportunities for collaboration between academic research and industrial innovation.

A particularly successful morning, rich in dialogues and promising perspectives!

The opening was delivered by Florence Niedergang, director of the Institut Cochin. Pierre-Olivier Couraud then recalled the history of the Donny Strosberg days, organized since 2012, before Pascale Leroy presented this 2026 edition, redesigned around a dynamic format combining discussions, exchanges and scientific presentations.

The roundtable discussion,
entitled “Researcher-Entrepreneur Dialogue: From Public-Private Partnerships to Femtech, Is It Just a Step?”, moderated by Julie Rachline (LallianSe), brought together Emmanuelle Deponge, Professor Rachel Levy, Claire Poulard, and Professor Vassilis Tsatsaris. The discussions focused on the challenges of public-private collaborations, investment strategies in healthcare, and the rapidly developing Femtech sector.

Scientific pitches and projects presented
The teams from the Institut Cochin then unveiled several innovative projects covering key themes in women's health:

  • Diseases with sexual dimorphism, with Molly Ingersoll's work on sex-related differences in bladder mucosal immunity
  • Wound healing, with Selim Aractingi's research on new therapeutic approaches
  • Fertility, with Caroline Eozenou, who explores improving reproductive health, from fertilization to contraception
  • Endometriosis, addressed through the work of Ludivine Doridot (biomarkers and models), Guillaume Parpex (role of the gut microbiota and diet), and Christian Drouet (involvement of kinins in inflammation)
  • Preeclampsia, with Edouard Lecarpentier, who is developing apheresis columns to treat severe forms
  • Gestation, with Céline Méhats and Maryline Favier, who are studying abnormalities in the duration of pregnancy

Technology platforms at the heart of innovation
The technical platforms of the Institut Cochin were also mobilized, illustrating the wealth of expertise and services offered to academic and industrial partners. From bioinformatics to proteomics, including imaging, genomics, metabolomics, and in vivo models, these infrastructures cover the entire research chain, from whole-organism studies to the most precise molecular analyses. True pillars of translational research, they constitute an essential lever for strengthening collaborations with stakeholders in healthcare and biotechnology.

The morning concluded with direct exchanges between researchers, platform managers, and companies, confirming the value of these meetings in fostering new synergies and accelerating the transfer of innovation to concrete healthcare applications.
