High school girls visit Institut Cochin - “For Girls In Science” program

Institut Cochin welcomed about twenty high school girls from Ile-de-France as part of the "For Girls In Science" (FGIS) program. This program is organized by the L'Oréal Foundation and the assosciation Banlieues School to introduce young girls to the world of research, inspire them and encourage them to choose scientific studies.

The high school girls were accompanied by their mentor Suzanne Faure-Dupuy. After a presentation of Institut Cochin, the high school girls participated in small groups in workshops and games designed to introduce them in a fun way to research on the AIDS virus, skin diseases, bioinformatics, an ultrasound technology platform, and reproduction.

Thanks to the workshop leaders (Juliette Hamroune, Carmen Al-Youssef, Sandrine Barbaux, Céline Méhats, Isabelle Lagoutte, Julie Chaumeil, Cecilia Ramirez, Gabriela Sarango, Annouk Dauvillers, Ursula Mauline, Jelena Petrovic, Rachel Moussa, Laetitia Waast), and to the support staff from the L’Oréal Foundation (Jenny Gnansounou Delicat) and Banlieues School (Lilya Ali Cherif).
