Catherine Postic has been appointed a foreign member of the Royal Academy of Medicine of Belgium.
Congratulations!  This prestigious distinction crowns the excellence of his research on metabolism and testifies to the international reach of his expertise.

During a public and formal ceremony on Saturday, January 24, 2026, Catherine Postic has been honored together with several new foreign members:

Catherine Postic's career in brief

Catherine Postic is a CNRS Research Director at the Institut Cochin (Paris), deputy director of our institute since 2025, and co-leader of the Glucose sensing, Insulin signaling, and Glucotoxicity team. An expert in epigenetics and metabolism, she studies the mechanisms of diabetes and liver diseases, particularly non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). Recipient of the CNRS Silver Medal (2015) and the Grand Prize of the Foundation for Medical Research (2020), she received the FRM Research Award in 2025. She coordinates several ANR and international projects and is a member of scientific committees such as that of the EASL. Her work aims to identify new therapeutic targets for metabolic diseases.
