A two-years post-doctoral position is available in the Virus-Host Interactions team at the Institut Cochin in Paris, France. Deciphering the molecular mechanisms behind HIV latency is paramount for developing effective treatment strategies. Our laboratory explores the mechanisms of HIV-1 latency leading to the persistence of cells harboring replication-competent but transcriptionally silent viruses. This project aims at understanding how cellular factors controlling premature transcription termination enforce transcriptional silencing of HIV in latently infected cells.
