Anna Rita Cantelmo’s research focuses on the understanding of the mechanisms regulating endothelial cell dysfunctions as occurring in several diseases, including cancer and cardiovascular disorders. Her background in biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology, her doctoral and post-doctoral trainings in vascular biology and physiopathology, which led her to develop a unique, interdisciplinary expertise. She brought numerous projects to publication both in leading and supporting roles in top-tier journals (Nature, Cancer Cell, Cell Metabolism) and obtained funding for her lab through nationally and internationally competitive selections (e.g. INCa; Baillet Latour Foundation). She currently leads a Pasteur-Lille team investigating the role of endothelial cell plasticity as driver of disease onset and progression.
