We ensure:

  •     Software updates,
  •     Technical monitoring,
  •     And regular maintenance of the devices.

Digital PCR – Biorad QX200 Droplet Generator

GENOM’IC provides the teams at the Institut Cochin with a Biorad QX200 droplet generator (DG) for carrying out digital PCR (dPCR) projects.

The platform monitors and maintains the device, which can only be used by appointment. Slots are managed directly by the platform and invoiced at the end of the year to the user team.

Before booking:

Teams wishing to use this technology must:

  • Contact the Biorad application engineer, Martial Saumier (martial_saumier@bio-rad.com), to define the appropriate technical approach and development steps.
  • Contact the facility (u1016-genomique@inserm.fr) to book the device.

Operation & support:

  • GENOM'IC trains users in the practical handling of the droplet generator.
  • It also provides the necessary plastic consumables. The rest of the reagents are to be bought by the teams.
  • The experiments are carried out by the users themselves, while GENOM'IC is only involved in reading the plates.
  • The data is then analysed and interpreted by the team, in collaboration with Biorad technical support.
