The symposium Institut Cochin "Long COVID and other Post-Acute Infections: from symptoms to mechanisms" has been held on December 5, 2025. The meeting brought together world specialists in various post-acute infectious syndromes, including and beyond the long COVID ones. Subjects: up-to-date description of clinical symptoms, exposition of the various main mechanisms behind post-acute infection, including viral persistence, immune dysregulation, neuropathogenesis, mitochondrial dysfunctions, importance of gender in this post-acute infection. A final session addressed advances in biomarker research.
