promotion 2025 des Apprentis chercheurs à l'Institut Cochin

For 19 years, Institut Cochin has participated in the " Apprentis Chercheurs " program — one of the Association l’Arbre des Connaissances 's initiatives designed to open research to young people and raise their awareness of the scientific approach. From October 2024 to April 2025, one Wednesday afternoon per month, 25 students from the Paul Bert and St Exupéry middle schools and the Paul Bert and Claude Monet high schools (Paris) conducted a research project in pairs or trios, supervised by staff from Institut Cochin. They learned about the scientific approach, conducted experiments, and learned how to interpret the results.

The 25 "Apprentis Chercheurs" presented the results of their research at a conference on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, to approximately 150 people: families, classmates, teachers, and colleagues from Institut Cochin. Representatives from the association l'Arbre des Connaissances, the Faculty of Health at Université Paris Cité, the City of Paris, the Ministries of Higher Education and Research, National Education, Culture, the Île-de-France Academy, and sponsor Infravia, honored us by attending the conference.

présentation de Cris Beauchemin

The conference was introduced by Margaux Versapuech, one of the co-organizers along with Rachel Onifarasoaniaina and Françoise Levavasseur. Cris Beauchemin, a member of the Board of Directors of l'Arbre des Connaissances, presented the association, and Florence Niedergang, Director of Institut Cochin, presented the Institute and emphasized the importance of training young people.
The pairs of middle and high school students impressed with the poise and clarity of their presentations. At the end of the conference, all students received their "Apprentis Chercheurs" diplomas from the Director of Institut Cochin. Congratulations to the Institute's staff who supervised these young people with enthusiasm and talent.

The conference was followed by a cocktail reception that provided an opportunity for broader discussions on the Institute's projects and the scientific research ecosystem.
